Guillaume Le Floc'h auctioneer in collaboration with our experts specialized in free valuation and free appraisal at Authenticite sold at auction a Transition Louis XV Louis XVI chest of drawers stamped Leleu.

Commode à ressaut central et montants antérieurs arrondis en placage de bois de rose en ailes de papillon dans des encadrements d’amarante, ouvrant par trois tiroirs et reposant sur des pieds antérieurs cambrés (soulèvements, restaurations, placage insolé).
Estampille de Jean François LELEU, Maître en 1764.
Transition des époques Louis XV et Louis XVI.
Garniture de bronze ciselé et doré et plateau de marbre gris.
Haut. : 90 cm - Larg. : 130 cm - Prof. : 61 cm

Jean François Leleu est formé chez Jean François Oeben en même temps que Riesener dont il fut le concurrent direct. Ses œuvres se distinguent par leur inventivité et leur créativité. Ebéniste attitré du Prince de Condé, il meubla notamment les châteaux de Chantilly et de Saint-Maur ainsi que le Palais Bourbon.
